this few days i have been receiving calls from unknown numbers. and i try not to answer those calls 'cos most of the time, they are either prank calls or they are calling from some companies i did surveys for.a few days ago, i received a call from an unknown number 6358****. for no reason, i decided to answer that call.
it was someone who sounded like an indian (but you will never know, 'cos nowadays a lot of people can fake the accent). that guy asked for a person named 'matrina' or something like that. i told him he had called the wrong number. then he went, 'you are not matrina?? is this 9690****??'
'yes.'
'so you are not matrina?'
'no.'
'oh i see. i have the correct number, but wrong person.'
'yeah.'
'so what's your name?'
'what?'
'what's your name?'
'sharon.'
'oh sharon. so i really got the wrong person.'
'yeah.'
'i still don't know how come i've got the wrong person.'
'okay.'
'so sharon, do you mind if we be friends?'
'huh?'
'do you mind being friends with me?'
'for what?'
'just be friends, you know?'
'oh okay.' (i am really bad at rejecting people)
'so are you working?'
'no.'
'you are at home?'
'yes.'
'where are you located?'
'woodlands.' (yes i lied. but i couldn't have told him where i really live in right?)
'oh woodlands. so what's your race?'
'chinese.'
'oh.. who else is at home with you?'
'my whole family.'
'do you want to like meet up?'
... i didn't reply. i just hung up the call. that was such a waste of my time. why do i always get weird people calling me??????? i saved the person's number in my phone as 'mad person'. oh man.. all these numbers. now i have contacts like 'irritating guy', 'aia', 'wat talent co' in my phone.
then, yesterday, i received a call from another unknown number. the person went, 'hello is this sharon?'
'yes?'
'you have won a lucky draw!'
immediately i hung up the call without another word.
then another unknown number called and i couldn't be bothered to pick it up.
after a while, shaun called.
he asked, 'eh why did you hang up on me?'
'duh! i thought it was another prank call!'
see? sometimes people just deserve it can?
can't they just be normal??
